And as for taking players from lowly Euro qualifying opposition the two word cautionary tale is Shane Blaney 😉 I actually wonder if Shane Blaney wouldnt have been a good fit for this type of Motherwell side? Injuries aside, he always looked comfortable with the ball at his feet. It was the physicality and defending his box I always felt he struggled with. Not suggesting we go bring him back, but if SOD, McGinn and Koutroumbis can all look good at centre half in this kind of set up, Im sure others could too.
