Your posts always come across as similar to a film critic reviewing a new release rather than a football fan who enjoys going to support their team. ”It was a fairly low budget production which delivered the standard of film you would expect, wasn’t brilliant but it certainly wasn’t terrible either. The way the audience reacted to it was a disgrace, but not surprising. Totally ungrateful and lacking basic understanding of the movie industry and the online reviews only reinforces this. It has to be said that so many cinema goers really are deplorable people with no common sense whatsoever. At the end of the day it was well written and credit goes to the producer…Graham Alexander.”3 points

I'm curious about other peoples opinions on this. For the life of me I cannot understand fans of clubs that flirt with European qualification every 5 / 6 years or even longer wanting the regular qualifiers to do well in Europe to improve the co efficient. All an improved co efficient does is put multi millions of pounds into clubs already with a big financial advantage over us and put the OF straight into the league stages and for what ?the scraps of an extra conference place and periodic qualification. An improved co efficient for me hurts clubs like ours , OK we may get into Europe ourselves now and again but that in no way will compensate financially for the money the regular qualifiers get. Our only real hope of success is the domestic cups do we really want to make that harder by hoping another 3 or 4 clubs out with the OF are significantly financially strengthened, over and above the financial gap even as it is now. Had Hibs got through last night they'd have got a minimum of £5 million and potentially £8 million. Same goes for Aberdeen and Dundee Utd had they gone through. Even now 3 of them get another bite of the financial cherry. Am I alone in hoping they all get fucked out as early as possible. Frankly I don't give a monkeys what anyone abroad thinks if our game , they dont go, they don't pay and their opinion changes fuck all on my matchday experiences and never will. When I read social media I feel like I'm the only person whose starting position is fuck the co efficient 😂 . Am I the only one that thinks like this , am I warped 😂2 points

Watt and Fadinger as a combination are fantastic. Real drop off when one of them isn't there...2 points

Goalie? If the manager doesn't feel Oxborough is good enough with the ball at his feet...2 points

There's nothing about the formation that causes Ward to drop the ball at the feet of an opposition player unchallenged. We had the game won and he fucked it. Last week was pretty much the same, the tactics and lineup had us ahead in the latter stages of the game and the goalie couldn't hold on to the ball.2 points

What a truly sad, sad individual you really are. Someone who gets more pleasure from results not going our way and your typically miserable, doom laden predictions being correct/ partly right. Oh - and spare me the ‘it’s a forum for all views’. Yes it is ……… but proper fans would never get off on things not going to plan. This is the last time I’ll ever pay attention to your nonsense as I think you’re probably not even a Well fan, or if you are- not one worthy of the title. Bye!2 points

Was looking forward to going to the game as it seems like a whole other close season since I last saw us against Rangers. Then I come on here and we are still getting the rampant victim blaming and hate towards Kettlewell. Yuck. Maybe it's a form of de-tox to only have a home game every 30 days.2 points

We're stll adapting to the new way of playing and it'll take time and patience for the players to become comfortable with it. That said though, we continue to have problems at both ends of the pitch. Without doubt we've signed some good players; a better calibre than we usually do, but the squad is still deficient in some types of first pick. The jury is still out for me on our striking options, but I'd like to see a bit more height and muscle up front. Likewise at the back we're short in central defence. I've been a fan of Gordon's up until now but he doesn't seem comfortable with the new system. Likewise, McGinn is proficient on the deck but lacks physicality. Kilmarnock's height and physical approach caused us problems today and we seem uncomfortable dealing with high balls. I'm not advocating a Robinson style approach but if the opposition choose to play direct, when they are in possession then we need to have the personnel to deal with that. Likewise, at set pieces such as corners, we struggle to cause the opposing defence problems due to us being somewhat lightweight.1 point

Me too. I'm still at happy with us surrendering possession from a goal kick that led to goal and frustrated that all the good play was scuppered by that error. I'm annoyed also that he dropped ball.1 point

I’m ok with his initial error in kicking the ball out. We know and expect that mistakes will be made from time to time like that. It’s the dropping an easy catch that got me.1 point

Win lose or draw this is the most entertained I have ever been at Fir Park. Long may in continue, it’s unbelievably a good feeling going into games with this confidence. Every team we have played this season we have dominated for huge parts of the game. Might not have fully clicked yet, but I’d much rather be watching this instead of the Ayrshire Kettleball.1 point

Unless we get a competent goalkeeper, no one will be getting a “doing” from us1 point

Try seeing the bigger picture. The football being played is like nothing I’ve watched from a Motherwell team for years. I actually looked forward to going to the game today and I can’t say I’ve had that feeling for a long time. Can’t legislate for a keeper dropping the ball at someone’s feet 3 yards from goal. Someone will get a “doing” shortly.1 point

We haven't lost in 4 either. The jury is out on Jens? Come on. You can't be serious. We are playing some of the best football we have in years. So negative on here. Yeah today was a sore one but it's done. In fact we've not lost in ten since he took over1 point

I doubt very much JBA is telling Ward to make a James Hunt of it by failing to catch a ball under no pressure at all. The way Ward is playing is very badly, and cost us 4 points in a week, he needs dropped.1 point

If we want a Gk Darren Randolph is a Free Agent get him back in between the sticks.1 point

Crowd was 6931 that's what was announced at the game and put on the scoreboard.1 point

Goalie has been a priority for me since JBA’s style of play become evident in the league cup opener against Clyde. Hopefully we are trying to move Ox on and bring in a quality replacement. That and an assured centre half top of my wishlist.1 point

Watt to me is the most important player in the system we are playing. The minute he went off our patterns on that left side fell apart.1 point

Has anyone else noticed SOD's distribution has improved considerably? Quite remarkable, he was always one of the worst offenders for aimless lofts up the park.1 point

As i said after the Rangers game get Oxborough back in goals that's 6 points Ward's cost us this season. On a more positive note Watt, Fadinger, Longelo, and Just all look to have been good signings so far.1 point

Shocking goal keeping cost us 2 points last week, and the same again today, all our great play counts for nothing if we cant rely on a keeper to catch a feckin Ball under no pressure at all. Once we went 2-1 Killie never looked like scoring until Motherwells version of Andre Onana played his part, he needs dropped ASAP. We played some great stuff today, especially Longelo and just and never got the reward it deserved, 4 points behind where we should be after 4 games, sort the keeper and defence out and hopefully we can start winning.1 point
-
On paper no, but as I said last week, context is everything with draws. And if you are 3-0 up with twenty minutes to go one week and 2-1 up with less than ten to go the following week and you don’t win either game then that can’t be viewed as anything other than two big missed chances to get three points on the board.1 point

So again some encouraging play but we don’t get the result to show for it. We don’t carry enough threat up front and when we do manage to score goals we duly chuck them in for the opponents to cancel it out. It’s not been a bad start to the season but already there are concerns because we’ve played well enough so far but haven’t been able to convert that into wins. We could very will live to regret that. And finally, the jury is very much out on JBA and his game management in particular. Harsh, perhaps, but until we manage to make that ‘quantum leap’ and actually win a football match under him then conerns will persist.1 point

Knee specialist or off to London to meet a suiter before the window closes? As for Kettlewell, guys a fud. Hopefully we have no mercy on the park & show him the damage fast paced, attacking football can do. That would be the biggest "get it up yi" to him if he got a scudding from a team playing the polar opppsite of his footballing philosophy1 point

If Slattery is out long term, which is really awful for us and him, then we really need 2 midfield players in. Left back cover, center back x 2 if Balmer goes and now two midfield is probably needed. Cant see 5 players comming in tho before deadline. Bench does look strong tho.1 point

That's not the case though is it, if the coefficient goes up it means that the ugly sisters and the other potential Euro regulars ie Aberdeen, Hearts, Hibs are all doing better in European games and as a result earning more cash making them richer. Which as a consequence widens the financial gap between them and the rest of the league allowing them to attract better players etc, so where's the positive in that from a Motherwell perspective?1 point
-
Nah, just nah . Why don't "these players" just have a wee chin wag with him and a cup of tea before the game and wish him all the best. You really don't believe that do you.1 point

Best for him and us if he moves on. Manager has sussed it out that he's a bit limited for us. Making way for someone else he is happier with.1 point
-
We should treat Stuart Kettlewell the same as we would any other visiting manager - ignore him. We’ve moved on and have a much better manager now. As for Saturday’s game, I think it’s odds-on Kilmarnock will come and sit in and try to catch us on the break. I think our new way of playing is going to be best suited to away games, where the onus is on the home team to go forward and try to win. Like Hearts last week, it lets us exploit the space after turning over possession. Be interesting to see how we approach Saturday’s game. Hoping for a right good performance and a win. COYW.1 point

Good luck to young Wilson, i understand the reasoning for going out on loan and I think he’ll do well at Raith. There’s a talent there and playing every week will develop him. I can honestly see him coming back a better player. I know a few of you have panned him but I’ve felt the last couple of times he came on he did ok. anyway, good luck Ewan1 point
