  2. Went for Lowry. He’s been on fire last 2 games. Reminds me a lot of Bobby Russell.

  4. Absolutely BRILLIANT night and result under the lights. Our biggest home win against Dundee Utd since the Scottish Cup replay in 2011 too! Even Jens couldn’t beat Utd by three clear goals

  5. Fair enough, of the solutions put forward, on paper it seems the best. Emphasis on "on paper". A bit disappointing as the email has a vibe of "options limited, meets requirements, stop moaning". While i've no doubt a lot of the moans are just that, there is certainly valid concerns, which i hope isn't lost on the board. Personally i am fine, getting in and out is an inconvenience i can grudgingly live with. However i am farily slim build and still relatively young... however, week on week i see others struggling, to the point where everyone around them is on high alert, offering a hand, etc. Meets requirements or not, that is not on. I'd urge Brian Caldwell to trial 3 consecutive games in the busiest section of that stand and see how he feels then. Really not much to ask IMO.

  7. There's not a lot wrong with Matty. He's proved his worth to JBA, so that's good enough for me.

  8. Im certainly willing to swap with Brian and he can sit on those exceptionally comfy claret seats and I’ll take his padded one with the legroom….. I’ll take one for the team

  9. Palmer Houlden his own. Lowry's goal a masterpiece. Dylan Levitt-ates us to 3rd in the league. Take your pick...

  10. Am lot of plaudits for Lowry tonight, and rightly so, he had a very good game. However, for me Joe Hodge gets MotM. He played things simple and very neat, while also being tenacious in the middle of the pitch.

  11. Could be a first. I’m 70 and I don’t remember it happening but that might be because I’m 70 😂

  13. With players coming back from injury and plenty options then Maswanhise needs to up his game or he will be in bench. Williams, RCC, Kanga, Sparrow, Said all options in wide roles

  14. Some lovely football and great goals, thought we were wasteful from some great moves in the first half. Sure we were up against 10 men but you can only beat whats in front of you and we did. Lowry was outstanding. I'm done with Manwanhise. He does not merit being an automatic fist choice. Windows closed so hes not going anywhere time to let him know his performances are deserving of his arse being on the subs bench.

  15. Really? That's interesting. I didn't notice that. This is hardly definitive but the taxi-driver who took us to the airport a fortnight ago said that he quite often picked him up at FP after training and found him cocky and rather unpleasant. One of JT's comments was, "The manager won't be there next season and neither will I." By contrast, Paulsen, whom he also picks up quite often, sounds a great guy, happy to be here and very modest and positive about the club. I don't really feel Maswhanise is a team player and his niggling annoys me too: it's going to cost us one day. It will be interesting to see what Alfred does with this recalcitrant member of the squad. I actually was hoping he'd bog off to Anderlecht and the club could bank a wad for him. Or perhaps there will be some Turkish delight for us before their window closes tomorrow.

  16. Even when we went 2-0 up there was always that nagging doubt for me. Especially against Dundee Utd at home where we have surrendered two goal leads on more than one occasion even when it hasn’t always resulted in us losing or drawing the game. It’s just traditionally been a fixture where we can never fully relax when two goals ahead (3-1 up in ‘91, 2-0 up and only drawing at home in 1999, the 4-5 game in 2005 - say no more). But tonight we just looked comfortable and home and dry once that third goal went in.

  18. Or a kick up the arse. Walked straight down the tunnel when whole team were smiling and clapping the fans. No wonder he didn't get a move with performances like that one tonight.

  20. At 1-0 there is always that worry but once went 2-0 up it was easy peasy and we played some great stuff. Our squad i feel is stronger and plenty competition for places. Lowry was outstanding and Hodge is so tidy. Kanga I think will be a great acquisition also and good to see Seb get his first goal. I felt heart sorry for Willy tonight, nothing happened for him and looks devoid of any confidence. Also I thought the drum at times can be annoying but jeez that swanee whistle in cooper stand should be used on criminals for a confession 🤣🤣

  21. I already think that we should be talking to Alec Lowry about a P.C.A. in January.

  22. Lowry and Levitt look the absolute real deal! No doubt Dundee Utd will whinge and whimper about the red card but we have seen many a Motherwell side fail to take advantage of a side down to ten men in the past. That’s not our problem, we had to beat the team in front of us and we did that very professionally and comfortably in the end. Absolutely delighted with that tonight.

  23. Absolutely dominant from start to finish...a wee bit wasteful seen us 'only' win by 3. Some of the chances we made and missed were incredible. Lowry was an absolute joy to watch

  24. Well, not much to complain about there 🙂 A couple of things, but not much, so I won't bother. I wanted Knight-Lebel to score so I could beat Grizzly to 'stand up and sing for Knight-Lebel'......

  28. Yes, the couple next to me complained immediately about their seats and were told they could move somewhere else if they weren't happy, and he had a business advert/sponsorship with the club! The club is coming across as insensitive and dismissive over this issue.

  31. It seems like Caldwell is marking his own homework here. The perception is now that the stand is unsafe and the matchday experience has been degraded. A condescending email that dismisses genuine concerns about safety is miles short of the required response. The Society board should get involved to resolve the situation.

  36. I think you are spot on. The potential loss of revenue from 500 seats was the issue for the Board. And saying that the loss of those seats would have displaced fans to other Stands is a flawed attempt to justify their decision. They wished to maximise income from European ties by retaining 3000+ seats in the POD. Some might see that financial reasoning as justification. I doubt those affected think that way though. And the figures presented don't add up. The loss off those 500 seats would leave a capacity of over 2500 which is surely more than enough to cater for all current POD season ticket holders. Given the number of unoccupied seats in the wings and the tickets available for purchase for league matches that seems a reasonable conclusion. Folk might not have been seated in the exact location as they are at present but moving a few meters up or down/right or left would have been preferable to what we now have. In my opinion anyway. And consultation could easily have taken place as the possibility of European qualification was known for months before season end. The Club made a poor decision which badly affected many long term, committed fans. Now Brian is circling the wagons to justify that poor decision. That will come back to haunt him when/if someone gets badly injured. Meantime keep handing in any broken seats to the Director's Box.

  37. What a cop out that email was. Totally worded to suggest that the club were providing great customer service to all POD season ticket holders. Basically "we were concerned about moving season ticket holders" but ultimately offering no decent solution. I wonder if there's a hidden agenda that we're currently not privy too Similar, in fact, to the new seating being installed.

  41. The one thing we do not need to do is to sell to any other club in Scotland. Fine if they go south or abroad, but not the arse cheek, like we used to. Weakening our team to assist these two parasites.

  43. I know the name but Levitt is someone I know little about. Hopefully he’s a good signing. I am a bit concerned about Fadinger now. Really do not want to lose him. When everyone was gushing over just and Slattery I felt he was more important to the team as a whole. Be gutted if he were to leave.
