Your "proper wingers" are currently tawa and luca/stuparevic? and maybe if were lucky nicholson (do see him more as a bench warmer this season) 

I do however think that if stama does stay fit this season he will more than likely end up playing as a SS to whoever our main man upfront may be

Maswanhise definitely fits that mould on the left, but with this being Luca Ross’ first season in the first team and Nicholson likely set for another season on the physio table, we clearly need to bring in more attacking options.

And you’re probably right about Stama being a second striker option.

Pretty much agree with that although I'm not sure what kind of player Stuparevic is as I haven't seen him play much. Didn't have him down as a winger though.

I won't be the manager ever. So no need to dig me out eh. I'm entitled to my opinion the same as everyone else. 

I pay my money to see Motherwell the same as everyone else.

From what i remember he seemed a bit small to be the striker wed be looking for but does have a bit of pace and decent dribbling about him which would make him the he'll do candidate til the manager brings someone more suited to the position

It’s good to have different styles of strikers, or players for that matter. That was one of the things I really like when McAll was the manager. We had so many attacking weapons that defenses couldn’t nullify them all.  Higdon, Ojamma, Humphrey, Law, Faddy.

Agreed. You need a good mix of strikers. From the little I've seen Stuparevic seems quite nippy but not particularly physical or tricky. A poor man's Jack Vale?? That said we haven't seen much of him to really assess his style.

Stuparevic looked more like a number 10 when I watched him, albeit in a pretty limited number of minutes.

This should probably be in the Ins and Outs thread but I wouldn't dismiss it. 22 years old, runs all day, 6 goals in 21 starts most of them at wing back. Someone may show an interest...

Would prefer not to see him go right now when its clear Miller will be away. But I guess we cant be too sniffy about any reasonable offer that comes in for any of our players.

Quite pleased that we have a few right now that could command a fee with Slattery and Maswanhise being the other 2 obvious ones.

Not the Miller millions, but as a club this is our business model and we need to roll with it.

The timing would make things a little trickier for the new manager though as he tries to assemble his squad for the new season.

At least Sparrow recently extended to 2027, so if does decide to make the move we can set our price. Would prefer to see him stay, though.

I'm also happy to see that it looks more and more likely Miller will move abroad. His Dad is certainly talking that up.

I really hope so. Either that or England. Basically not another Scottish team.

With him contracted till 2027 I can't see any Scottish clubs paying a fee unless we can tempt sellik to bid £500k which ain't happening

I was really referring to Miller but same applies to Sparrow.

It’s being reported that Matty Connelly is heading back to EK on loan, which I’m guessing means we’ve offered him a contract extension.

Seems likely.

I see the article said he was going on pre-season tour with his parent club.

Probably makes sense for him to train with us most of the week to keep him involved and he can pick up the extra sessions and game time with EK.

As 3rd choice keeper we would only need him in an emergency.

I wonder if we were ever in talks with sylla but a 3 year deal for a guy that will be 32 this year,if there was any interest I'm glad we didn't pursue it.
