That goal

Awesome -- I wasn't able to watch the match as I was working, getting alerts thought we were gone - down to ten men - superb goal!

"Stand up and sing for Motherwell!"

Defo red card pal,  no complaints

Yeah just watched it again, he caught him and I can see why it might have been a red. I didnt see the incident with souttar and the handball properly at the game but that’s a penalty? I can see why the players were going mental.

Thought rangers adopted the st mirren game plan well. JBA right to call the ref out.

did think we looked a bit rusty, but soon grew into the game.    A good point for us though having gone down to  10 men with hibs losing .   Team selection now critical v Aberdeen.  Who has the energy.

overall though massive credit to the team manager and staff.  Oh and Boyd can do one!

Thought it was a good performance tonight, although our attacking players were'nt quite on point with their passing in the final third. Some of that was down to how hard Rangers were working to put pressure on them, but still felt there were a few unforced errors.

Thought McLean let them away with murder from fairly early on and allowed their repeated fouling to go largely unpunished.

Dont think I have ever seen a Rangers team at Fir Park boot it long quite so much, kick, foul, dive and waste time. I suppose thats a compliment of sorts.

Havent seen the red card back. Thought it twas a foul and a yellow card at the time, but happy to be corrected.

Overall, a good point. We bossed the team that all the pundits think are probably favourites for the title.

We may not be in the race ourselves, but we should take confidence from the performance to fuel our push for the cup. One of the uglies has to go and we have proved we are good enough to beat whatever one is still standing.

Bring on Aberdeen......

Big shout out to Slattery who was outstanding tonight.

Sorry mate but I thought he wasn’t that good tonight, gave up on chasing back when he lost the ball at the first goal and too many times he turned back into trouble rather than make a pass to someone in space.

Clear red. Late, high studs, nowhere near the ball.

In his post match JBA had no complaints, and even complimented Fadinger saying if you are going to get a red, getting one for trying to prevent an attacking move is the only acceptable kind.

Why do they get away with vile  blatant sectarian singing.

Thats a question for a particular minister in the Scottish Government.

Political pressure was brought to bear on the SPFL to apply strict liability for pyro abuse but they lack the backbone and political will to tackle sectarianism. Tonight's chanting was medieval and offensive but as usual, the media is complicit in concealing it.

And thats precisely why we won't finish in the top 3 or win the Cup this season.

Statistically, we are on track to score more goals than the team that won the Cup in 1991.

51 total in that season (50 conceded) and Arnott was top scorer with 14.

Was towing a caravan for first goal but after that yes had a really good game. He knows he has to perform well to keep his place as wee Priestman for me has been excellent

Given all the refereeing “inconsistencies” last night, I wouldn’t have been surprised if our equaliser had been chalked off for a brutal shove by Bjørgolfsson on the poor wee Rangers defender before he headed the ball across for Welsh to score.

We showed a lot of character to add to our usual skilful game.

i hope we have no injury concerns for the game against Aberdeen.

Its a disgrace that they get away with it  Dave, the SFA, police Scotland the Scottish government and both of the ugly sisters are culpable yet do nothing.

Last year we had people being arrested for wearing T shirts supporting palestinian organisations, the police said were proscribed terrorist groups etc.

Yet every week we have thousands singing thr praises of the IRA, UDA, up to their knees in f****n blood etc and feck all gets done, the two of them are Scotlands shame.

Two games and two assists. Good going for Thor so far.

It was mentioned somewhere when we signed him that this was a big part of his game. Long may it continue.

This. He's doing exactly what he was signed to do and its now his second assist despite limited gametime. Not a spectacular striker but one who can cause opposition teams damage in their box. Had Ap Stam or Hendry been brought on instead last night, we'd have lost the game.

Overall, happy with last night's performance and result especially as we went down to 10 men but never gave up and went at them. I did have a feeling before HT that we'd see a red card but thought that it would be Said. As someone in our group said, Sevco played like a more expensive  version of Livingston or Killie i.e. kick everything that moves. Sevco adapted their game to nullify us and it worked to a certain extent as we saw through their effective policing of JT. I thought we played at about 75% of full capacity but lacked that killer punch up front that you need to beat the gruesome twosome.  One point of concern was that in the last 3 games we've gifted the opposition an early chance and last night it cost us dearly.

We fully deserved our draw and probably even the 3 points but weren't quite good enough to pull a win off. Some excellent and exciting football but with some sloppy edges but JBA knows that.  This season will be a vintage season, probably in the Ancell Babes mould i.e. a great footballing team that wins nought. I'm really looking forward to next season though and if we can improve in our weak areas, with or without JBA, then a cup is a real possibility.

A good team performance last night but I thought our best players were McGinn, my MOTM, Welsh, O'Donnell and Priestman.

I was waiting on VAR for that

Red is probably a red

Not having the Chermitti pen claim at all - Collapsed to the ground during 'normal football contact' - Suggestions he was offside as well

Far more contact on the Slattery one, ver soft, but have seen Gassama get pens for less.

The Souttar one can argue supporting arm, but he blindly dives into the challenge - Which Collum has previously said can lead to pens. More pertinently, Souttar then impedes, making the ball unplayable between his feet - Which is a foul. Indirect free kick, or play on. Certainly not faul to Rangers.

Similarly second half, Souttar gets a foul when Maswanhise learly wins the ball.

Askou also right regarding fouls in first half, whilst they weren't dangerous, there were quite a few stopping us when we were approaching the box/breaking into final third.

It was like watching St Mirren at times.

the sending off was right in front of me and I thought it was a foul and a booking .. nothing else!! I’ll watch it later and see if I am wrong.

on a side issue, wtf was their ticketing about? They were standing in the aisles and there must have been 5500 of them in that stand.

You must sit near us in the POD. We had a clear view of the incident and it was a stick on red. However, it was a mistimed tackle with no malicious intent. No complaints about that. What did annoy me though was Raskins getting in Steven MacLean's face after Fadinger had been yellow carded pleading for him to be sent off. His opinion obviously carried great weight. Very poor behaviour which needs called out.

Steven Maclean had a very poor game as mentioned by many others. His decision making was riddled with inconsistencies.

* His failure to play on when Said was fouled. We assumed, wrongly, that he stopped play to card the Rangers player but no.

* Why wasn't Soutar red cardd for cynically bringing down a breaking Just?

I'm not one to push conspiracy theories with referees but Steven Maclean really does seem to dislike us for some reason.

Agree with your comment about the crowd. Yet again, our figures are substantially different from the BBC's.  Aunty says 9,800 whilst MFC says 11,200. I very much doubt if there were about 4,000 empty seats. Great to see increased crowds.

Only defence I will give MacLean was he was ref when we won at Pittodrie with Craig Reid classic winner to guarantee 2nd place in 2014.

He awarded yellow initially but obviously Beaton gave him the call to check VAR which in all honesty was correct.

Aye, thats true Grizzly, but he failed to penalise Scott Vernon in the build up and to red card Mark Reynolds. What a day though!

More recently he was in charge of the Falkirk game, when Ibrahim Said's wonder goal was chalked off.
