That's my impression as well. We all know the behaviour of some Rangers fans  has been unsavoury  and  menacing in the past, like the  infamous riot at FP in 1978 because they were 2-0 down and looking at a hiding,  and many other violent incidents over the years, including in Manchester after the UEFA Final in 2008.

That  said, the behaviour of a section of Celtic fans seems to have deteriorated the more they have dominated the Scottish game in the last 15 years and the growth of the Green Brigade is a toxic phenomenon which shows  an arrogant sense of entitlement and  sense of impunity which we can see transfers to the club itself with its recent desperate attempts to justify/deny the indefensible after last Wednesday and Saturday.

Unfortunately, we're stuck with them both because  to admit them to the English Premiership would be suicidal for it, even if it were possible.

Until there is a real will shown by  the  police, SG and Scottish football authorities to restore order, fairness and sporting integrity to our game, nothing will change. I wonder  also how many of our "new" supporters will have been put off by these recent events, despite the best efforts of our manager, players and club generally?

Just give them the minimum allowed, with them being seated in a newly created seating area with limited views outside the stadium and all at a premium price.

I don't think there is any rule dictating that a Club cannot pick and choose which visiting fans should be limited in number. Hearts and Hibs have limited away tickets for most teams in recent seasons but increased the allocation for matches between the two. So no reason why we could not restrict OF, or even just Celtic, but give others the full stand. 

When we play celtic the lower tier always appears to be overcrowded and folk running from stand to stands a risk too. If anything where to go wrong say a crushing incident or something its our clubs reputation thats at stake and as a club have the responsibility for any compensation if such an issue was to arrise. Id argue its silly not to impliment something

Keep them in the top tier only. And if anyone asks tell them exactly why.

You can't invaded the park from up there. Someone needs to make a stand. It certainly won't be Scottish football authorities .

Im all for this.

Its what they do at Parkhead for European games....

We built that stand to milk Celtic & Rangers for revenue.

It would be crazy to throw the baby out with the bath water.

However, we do need to do something, so the above seems a reasonable and manageable compromise.

Would also allow the stewards to focus in the gates without worrying about anyone coming over the wall.

They would rip them to shreds and and then still charge onto the pitch. if in that bottom tier, there is no way to stop them. Short of risking injury to stewards and police. Any 'soft' attempt to deter them would just be seen as a challenge.

Let's see how many of those that invaded the pitch and caused the game to be stopped early are identified by Celtic and banned from all grounds in Scotland. Not a one is my guess. Celtic themselves are a huge part of the problem. They have ceded all power to their toxic fans. And the decent ones are too scared to speak out.   Good to see Hearts are not backing down and setting the record straight regards the early stoppage and the fact players were assaulted. The SFA silence is even more deafening than it was after Ibrox.

Happy to ban the green brigade from their own ground , but also happy to sell them tickets for away matches. A truly horrible club.

Whatever happens there will be minimal if any serious repercussions for Celtic even though their supporters were 100% responsible for both incidents.

You can guarantee that had any of our fans retaliated by also invading the park at the Celtic game then we would be being painted as the aggressors while Celtic’s fans were simply jubilant in celebration, the same as what happened with the Cup tie at Ibrox where Celtic fans invaded the park.

Celtic have too many people in high places for anything major to befall their way in terms of suitable punishment.

The SPFL growing a pair of balls and taking action re pitch invasions and assaults on players? Probably not. Lumping all four together will minimise  the more serious incidents and enable the Authorities to class them all as celebratory rather than violent and intimidatory. "We had a look but nothing to see here."

I expect Hamilton and Stenny to be fined and Celtic to be commended for the enthusiasm and good nature of their fans. I suspect the incidents attracting the interest of our politicians has spurred our masters to 'appear' to be taking matters seriously.

The fact that they’re even dragging incidents from lower league games into this speaks volumes. They just cannot be seen to be singling out Celtic, even though this is all down to them and their entitled supporters and that all goes back to the absolute chokehold that that club have on the authorities and the media in this country.

A rapid 5 minute "investigation" a shift of any responsibillity onto Motherwell and Hearts, followed by a swift sweep, sweep nothing to see here statement is my guess.
